CORVANTA FUELS / PRACTICAL GUIDANCE

Understand the price you are comparing

Start with the product, place, date and price basis before comparing two numbers.

Source and editorial review: · General education, not a site assessment.

01

A published reference has a specific basis

South African petrol has a regulated pump-price basis. A published diesel wholesale reference has a different role from a delivered commercial offer. International product costs, exchange rates and domestic components contribute to the published structure; a movement in one input is not automatically the final price change.

02

Keep the dates separate

The date a source was published, the date its price takes effect and the day someone retrieved it answer different questions. CEF recovery reports indicate pressure over a stated period. They are not an announced adjustment or a guaranteed next-month price. Use the effective schedule for reference comparisons and read the original publication.

03

Check final amounts and delivery once

Ask whether delivery is included in the unit amount or charged separately. Compare matching products and receiving locations. SARS distinguishes qualifying zero-rated fuel-levy goods from exempt supplies; other products and separately charged services need their own classification. Our planner does not classify a supply or add VAT. A total is shown only from confirmed final input amounts; unverified treatment remains incomplete.
